Lightscape returns to Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne from 12 June to 2 August 2026, bringing one of the city’s most popular winter night experiences back to life.

This award-winning after-dark event transforms the gardens into an immersive outdoor gallery featuring new installations, new artists and an entirely new journey for 2026. Visitors follow a glowing trail through illuminated landscapes, large-scale artworks and interactive light displays set beneath the winter night sky.

Featuring leading international creatives alongside Australian and First Peoples artists, Lightscape blends art, nature, music and technology into a memorable evening experience.

Whether visiting with friends, planning a date night or heading out with family, Lightscape offers a unique way to experience Melbourne in winter.

Session Times:
Timed entry every 15 minutes from the first session each evening.
Last entry is 10 minutes after the final advertised timeslot.
