Acclaimed singer-songwriter Suzanne Vega returns to Melbourne this September with a one-night-only performance at Hamer Hall.

Audiences can expect a career-spanning set featuring much-loved songs, including Tom’s Diner, Luka, Marlene On The Wall and more, along with new works from her 2025 album Flying With Angels, released to critical praise. She will be joined on stage by longtime guitarist Gerry Leonard (known for his work with David Bowie) and cellist Stephanie Winters.

Regarded as one of the most influential songwriters of her generation, Vega first rose to prominence in the early 1980s folk revival. Her contemporary folk and neo-folk sound, paired with her reflective storytelling, made her a standout voice in New York’s Greenwich Village scene.

With songs that explore city life, personal stories, and real-world experiences, Vega continues to be recognised for her thoughtful, poetic observations and understated style that remains unmistakable after more than 40 years.
