Forty years after Elton John invited the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra to join him for a national orchestral tour, the MSO is celebrating the music of one of the world’s most iconic performers with The Music of Elton.

Presented by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in association with Superband, these Australian-exclusive concerts will bring some of Elton John’s most memorable songs to life with a full orchestra on stage.

Singer and pianist Jason Dean will perform alongside his band, Superband, with the MSO conducted and musically directed by Chong Lim AM. With a career spanning major tours with John Farnham and Olivia Newton-John, the Sydney 2000 Olympics and the original I Still Call Australia Home Qantas advertisements, Chong Lim brings decades of experience to these special performances.

Expect an evening of classic Elton John songs, powerful orchestral arrangements and plenty of nostalgia, celebrating 40 years since the original collaboration between Elton John and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
