WHAT TO EXPECT

In partnership with the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA), this exhibition presents the work of 77 students from government, independent, and Catholic schools, all selected by expert panels across nine design subjects.

This year’s exhibition features a range of innovative and thought-provoking designs, from eco-friendly sunglasses made from repurposed coffee grounds to a quick-build housing solution for Australia’s housing crisis. Each piece explores how young designers are reimagining the future through sustainability, automation, community, and craftsmanship. Visitors will get an inside look at the creative process behind these projects, with prototypes, material tests, and folio documentation on display to showcase the students’ approaches to their work.
