Led and designed by local youth, Nightwalks with Teenagers is a walking performance through the city after dark. It’s a chance for teens to see Melbourne in a new light, guided by their peers. The experience is about connection and discovery — where silences feel natural, conversations spark easily, and the city becomes a stage.

If you love dance, this is one for you. Led by Anna from Go-Go Academy, Non Stop Go-Go is a 6.5-hour dance party inspired by the glamour and boldness of 1960s go-go culture. With sequins, sass, and plenty of energy, this all-inclusive event invites everyone to join in, no matter their skill level.

4. BENEATH
Created in collaboration with a local Wurundjeri artist and educator, Beneath shares powerful stories from disenfranchised young people. Presented as eight vignettes, this promenade performance begins by the river, moves through the township, and ends at The TOE, a striking three-storey venue built entirely from recycled materials. Here, the audience and performers meet for a final shared scene.

Sustainability meets creativity in this large-scale installation built from textile waste. Across four days, teens and families can design their own outfits from recycled materials, using sewing machines or safety pins to bring their ideas to life. The event culminates in a six-hour runway show where participants walk the catwalk in their creations. It’s hands-on, fun, and a great chance to experiment with eco-fashion while tackling big ideas about waste and reuse.

This outdoor projection dance performance transforms Prahran Square into a glowing stage.
