The Olivier and four-time Tony Award-winning production MJ the Musical will arrive in Perth from 6 June 2026, bringing the story of the King of Pop to the stage.

Set in 1992, MJ takes audiences behind the scenes of the creation of Michael Jackson’s Dangerous World Tour. The musical goes beyond the iconic dance moves and global hits, offering an intimate look at Jackson’s creative process — seen through the eyes of an MTV journalist given rare access to his rehearsals. Written by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage (Ruined, Sweat), MJ explores the artistic drive and personal challenges of one of the world’s most influential performers.

Featuring more than 25 of Michael Jackson’s biggest hits — including Beat It, Smooth Criminal, Man in the Mirror and Thriller — the production has captivated audiences around the world. Australian fans have called it “mind-blowing” and “the most incredible thing I’ve seen in my life.”
